MOB008b - Medicare Reimbursement for Wheeled Mobility and Seating Products - Part 2

This is the second of a 2-part series of courses that presents an in-depth look at Medicares clinical coverage criteria and documentation requirements for wheeled mobility and seating products. This course presents an in-depth look at Medicares criteria and documentation requirements for scooters, power wheelchairs and push-rim power assist systems.

You should complete the course "MOB008a Medicare Reimbursement for Wheeled Mobility and Seating Products - Part 1" before taking this course.

Learning objectives:

1. List the clinical coverage criteria that an individual must meet to qualify for any power mobility device;
2. List the clinical coverage criteria that an individual must meet to qualify for any scooter;
3. List the clinical coverage criteria that an individual must meet to qualify for any power wheelchair;
4. List the additional clinical coverage criteria that an individual must meet to qualify for Group 1, Group 2, Group 3, Group 4 and Group 5 power wheelchairs;
5. List the clinical coverage criteria that an individual must meet to qualify for power seating;
6. List the clinical coverage criteria that an individual must meet to qualify for push-rim power assist;
7. Identify the basic performance features that differentiate the different groups of power wheelchairs.

To successfully complete this course, you must attain a minimum score of 80% on the final exam and complete the course training survey.
