This unit provides an overview of access methods for use with speech generating devices (SGDs). Various access options/settings, troubleshooting, and considerations for selection are discussed.
Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
- State at least two alternate access methods for SGD access.
- List at least two accommodations for touch access.
- State at least one limitation of eye tracking access.
- State the primary reason head tracking access must be eliminated.
- State the primary consideration for selecting the number of switches used for scanning.
